Fairtrade Fair

  • St Mary's Church Goat Lane Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 7PZ United Kingdom (map)

What is the Fairtrade Fair?

The Fairtrade fair is an annual event which promotes positive employment in developing countries. All the organisations represented at the fair are fighting poverty in developing countries through trade. Employment in safe working conditions and with fair pay restores dignity. Fairtrade means that workers can pay for education, healthcare and improve their production methods. The organisations represented at the fair are all based on a Christian worldview and invest their profits in initiatives which help the marginalised & vulnerable in their communities.

During the morning we run a coffee shop & cookie stall so you can relax with a drink & cake.

All the money raised this year will be donated to CMCT a Christian mission in Chennai India working to relieve poverty through a variety of ministries. www.christianmissionsindia.org
