Jony & Jenny Bertin, Felipe, Emma, and Matais
Lecturer at CEP Bible College, Chile
After three years of training in London at Cornhill (expository preaching) and Oak Hill (MA focused on NT Greek exegesis), Jony and Jenny Bertin spent four years serving in church revitalisation in Rosario, Argentina. At the same time, being well aware that 'the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few' (Matthew 9:37), Jony also focused during these four years on training workers in Bible handling, expository preaching and NT Greek. They were also praying daily (as part of a larger initiative) at 9:37am for the Lord of the harvest to 'send out workers into his harvest field' (Matthew 9:38); this will now be their main focus, having moved to Chile in February 2022.
They are in Chile for a few years, where Jony will be teaching at the Anglican seminary 'Centro de Estudios Pastorales' (CEP), which was founded two decades ago by missionaries from Moore College, Australia. Jony will be primarily teaching NT Greek, NT exegesis, and expository preaching. The long-term aim is to then return to Argentina to focus on training gospel workers both within the Anglican church and beyond.
- Pray for the settling in, preparation and teaching at CEP.
- Pray for joyful fellowship and fruitful ministry in the church they are joining.
- Pray that more workers will be equipped for gospel ministry, both in Chile and Argentina.
